Best Program now open for youth aged 17 to 30

Planting Seeds
Inclusions East is happy to announce the launch of the Best Program, a new evening program open to people with intellectual disabilities between the ages of 17 and 30.
The program was created to address our waiting list of potential clients, and to offer engaging programming to youth in the hours following a typical school or work schedule. The program offers respite for parents or guardians and gives the participants the opportunity to socialize with their peers.Early participants have been enjoying activities like grocery shopping and cooking, and learning more about topics like personal finance and time management. They have also had the opportunity to participate in community outings like visiting the gym and the library.
Anyone interested in learning more about the program can email Best Program Site Lead Katie McEachern at katie@inclusionseast.com or call Day Services Coordinator Kimberly MacLennan at (902) 838-2516, ext 7.
